Default FINALLY Got my LS460!

Officially joined the LS family! Almost a year of looking for the perfect one. Flew from Pensacola to Clearwater Friday night and drove it home yesterday. 2014 with ML stereo, LED headlights, alcantara headliner, 19” wheels. FL car its whole life, 1 owner, no accidents, no rust. 84k miles but looks like it has 8400. Still smells like new leather.

I’m too scared to even eat in it or take it through a car wash, but it does have some swirls and it’s unrealistic to hand wash this car in this swamp heat climate. I’d like to get PPF on my headlights like on my ES. It has a few rock chips on the hood but nothing major. I’m very happy with it!

Full service history at Lexus, and all 8 control arms were done at the Lexus dealer around 60k, as well as plugs and a brake flush. I had a PPI done at Lexus of Clearwater and the valley plate is leaking, so the selling dealer discounted the price for that. Going to my Lexus dealer this week to have that done. Brake actuator (or is it just the pump?) still warrantied under the extension until November. That should cover the big 3 on these. I overpaid (don’t get me started on dealer doc fees), but it has almost brand new Michelin tires on it as well. I’m ok paying for all this upfront vs unforeseen nasty, expensive surprises later. Buy once, cry once!

I have a novel I could write about the 2 weeks of hell and going back and forth with the dealer to get all this done. I usually buy my cars out of state to get what I want; this one was a huge hassle, but it’s here now.

Does anyone have a child that’s in one of those seats that converts as they grow? I just picked up one for this car today. I HATE modern child seats. I’m having a hell of a time trying to make it work. The car headrest is in the way, not removable because it hits the ceiling, so there’s no clearance. Right now, I can lower it onto the seat, but as he grows and the height on his needs to be adjusted, it won’t work since the car’s headrest protrudes.

I’ve got towels and a seat protector since the interior is immaculate. I need to safely install this seat without ruining my car. Any one of these I buy will be an issue. This is a car you just don’t own with kids, lol. Can anyone help? I don’t want to buy and return 5 different seats out of trial and error.

I had car seats in mine. The headrest does get in the way, eventually you will just have to put the headrest behind the back of the seat.

What do you mean? I’d love to just remove it but can’t. I can make it work like the pic but if his headrest needs to be raised, the car’s pushes it forward where the back part isn’t in contact with the seat. It has this stupid protruding **** that will poke into the car’s headrest as his is raised.

You may need to buy a different car seat. I used Diono seats.

Congrats! Beautiful car! You will have a big smile every time you step in! Drive it often; don't let it be a garage queen! Happy driving

Thanks all! I might be this guy in the below pic. 😆 You know you bought the right car when you have to look back at it multiple times when you park it. Now a 3 Lexus household—11 ES UL, 15 GX luxury, 14 LS. Makes it even better when you’ve waited so long for the right one.

That car is in beautiful condition inside and out, the paint looks really nice...is the paint code 217 ?
I thought they all had alcantara headliners.

212, and I find this sticker odd. “Modifications”?

It's a federal requirement to put that on vehicles when specs on stuff like payload changes (for a variety of reasons).

Only cars with semi-aniline leather have the alcantara headliner. My 2015 SWB did not have it, my 2017 LWB did
