Engine Cover Part #?
Search gives me two part numbers 1120938010 and 1120938090. Which one should I get?
Took my LS for an oil change at Toyota dealership (Pat Lobby, McKinley TX) on April 28, 2023. Today I washed my car and noticed engine cover is missing. Called them and they denied removing it stated car came in without cover. I have not removed it either and have no reason to remove it. I even offered to cover 50% cost which they denied as well. I don't think this will go anywhere but will be talking to their service director on Wednesday. Thinking about reporting to BBB and may be a police report (may be a waste of my time and added stress). This is the reason I am looking for replacement part.
I changed both engine air filters which I was procrastinating for months because I didn't wanted to remove engine cover. Was trying to save money which is going to cost me more...
Lesson learned (check engine cover, oil cap, and dip stick before leaving service department).
For RWD 1120938010 is the correct one.
PS. In our parts there was a dire practice of dealers secretly replacing wheel nuts (10euro each) with chinesium (5euro per set), then reselling those or using on own vehicles. So, nothing new, really. Hope you get it sorted out.
Mine is RWD, so I will be placing an order for 1120938010.
Honesty is a good practice, and I go by that. People do get greedy, at times, and do understand that. I was really disappointed with Toyota dealership service department response.
