Default slotted/drilled rotors brand preference?

What brand of slotted/drilled rotors would you all get? I'm thinking Powerstop but I also saw a brand R1 on rock auto. Any thoughts are appreciated.

R1 is a 'brand' to avoid IMHO. Years ago I got hooked by their ads, bought a set, paid astronomical overseas shipment (in not in USA) - just to find scary metal cracks around all those drilled holes like 10k miles later.
Powerstop should be good attempt.

I got the stop tech slotted rotors and pads six years ago and recently replaced the pads with the same and would do it again. Quiet, low dust and no problems. Five years ago they cost $535.00 included sensor wires and shipping. Just looked up the current cost and they are over a grand. YIKES... my part number was Stoptech 934.44028.

Let us know what you do.

Thank you, I think Stop tech doesn't make them for my 2011 AWD. Powerstop does though. What about this brand?

Do a google search on this Stoptech 934.44028
I got lots of hits and looks like will work on 2011 L AWD. Mine is a 2010 L AWD and it appears the part numbers are the same.

Just over 13k miles ago I installed the Powerstop Z23 carbon fiber ceramic kit (F&R drilled & slotted rotors, pads, and hardware). Pedal feel, modulation, and grab are just right for me, and I'd buy them again. I bought the kit on amazon, however, one of the hardware bags was missing from the rear pad set. I contacted Powerstop directly (by email, and I think I sent photos), and they ended up sending me the entire rear pad kit at no charge whatsoever. Hard to beat that type of customer service!

I’ve had great success with R1 concepts.

I had them on my Acura TL w/ Brembo brakes for 5 years without any issues whatsoever.

Also had same rotors on my RX350.

It’s been a couple yrs since I installed on my LS & zero complaints. I’m using Powerstop Z23 ceramic pads; same pads as my previous 2 cars. They’re cheap, low brake bust compared to Brembo brand, & still stops on a dime!

Lucky for me, before COVID I bought a bunch of parts for future repairs. The Z23 kit was $412 before tax in AUG 2019, and now I see the least expensive is $507 for my '07 RWD. For whatever reason, it appears it's quite a bit more for AWD.

Okay okay! Sold! Just ordered Z23 front pads for my soon-to-be Brembo fronts. Sounds reasonable and not expensive. So no squeaking? No noises? Not too bothered about dust, just noises.

I’ve had ZERO noises, squeaking etc.

I’ll continue to order these probably until I retire the LS!

I guess rears worth trying as well? Well, ordering rears too. I had previous good experience with off-oem performance type pads (akebono, ebc, pagid) on other cars, but had crappy experience with squeaky NIBKs so I got scared off for good.

I replaced front pads and rotors on my 2011 AWD (touring) with the PowerStop Slotted/Drilled rotors and Z23 pads back in December. Only noise they made was right after I finished the installed and took it out to perform the bedding procedure, since then they have been nice and quiet. Quite a bit of dust for the first couple of months but not an unreasonable amount since. Let us know what you think of the Brembos!

Where did you order your Z23 powerstop kit from? What price if you don't mind me asking?
