Default 2011 ls 460 - " audio off " issue

Hello, I just recently bought this 2011 Lexus LS 460. Previous owner said this occurred while he was driving. The music randomly turned off and screen shows "AUDIO OFF" ever since.

Everything on the screen works except the "AUDIO" tab. All it says is "AUDIO OFF". (view image)

Anyone experienced this?

What I already did:
Checked every single fuse, all good.
Turn off battery and turn it on, didn't work.

It is likely the amp.

The amp (in the trunk) is a known item to fail. You didn't say if you have Mark Levinson option. There are repair services that can fix the amp.

Hi r1zke,

I am wondering if you were able to fix this issue. I have exactly same issue on 2009 LS460 model.

Thanks

I’ve stuck right now, I’m having the same issue after replacing the radio, amp, checking all the fuses and unplugging the battery for 1 hour. (2009 Lexus LS460 Base)

I could fix it! In my case, radio was alright, but the amp (in the right side trunk) was the culprit. I sent it our for repairing to eBay seller, and reinstalled it.
Actually my case was more complicated. I had to replace Navigation touch screen also. please see the link https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ank-black.html

This all im getting… the amp is definitely not the issue because I’ve already tested it and it works fine. This sucks 😔

That is exactly what I had, which means your root cause is different from mine.
