2011 LS 460 GROM VLINE VL2 Issue

Hi guys,

Installed the Vline today and after putting the car in reverse and then back into drive or park, the touch screen of the vline no longer works. The OEM touch screen works and the Vline works since I see the time change and the radio is still playing but the touch screen is no longer functional. Is this something anyone experienced before? Restarting the car fixes this until I activate the backup camera again.

I would double check all the connectors, make sure the polarity was not switched during manufacturing. Check if there is continuity across connectors.

Agree on connectors. This happened to me after I removed before going into the body shop

reliable is not the right word - but there’s really no other option that allows you to keep your factory unit and have CarPlay. Grom sucks as a company and their product is buggy. CarPlay is hugely valuable, though. I doubt you’ll come away from the purchase as a Grom fan, but having CarPlay really is great.
