So like a lot of others my LS trunk release switch cover was basically a melted mess. It only took 15 minutes from start to finish to replace it and put some led bulbs in the tag lights.....I hope the replacement last longer than the original.....
Weird but my rubber button wouldn’t work today. First time that’s happened. I’m going to see if it’s still acting weird tomorrow before I get a new one from Lexus.
It was a legit question. The part number is listed as fitting the 2001-2006 models, yet my 2002 UL only has a black panel in the spot where that button should be. Wondering if it was some sort of option, or modification that was done to mine.

Cars sold in the US only got it from 2004 to 2006 but in other countries it was available all 6 years.
