Just had a new alternator installed, used a Denso First Time Fit. Question is whether there is any difference between the Toyota/Lexus Denso Remanufactured and the Denso First Time Fit. Also, opinions on any other brands are appreciated. Thanks.
Not materially unless you got a higher output version. Just run it. Rebuilt alternators may not last as long but I've ran a rebuilt alternator on my 2002 Tahoe for a nearly a decade.

Rebuilt and re manufactured alternators are different between each other. Remans are great!
Can't say for sure but the Denso you buy from your chosen supplier looks exactly the same as one from Toyota. I've found a few "remanufactured for Toyota by Denso" alternators at the salvage yards over the years.

Most likely, anything other than the original alternator that came with the car will be somewhat inferior. If I had a choice, as well as access, I'd prefer a used alternator from a lower mileage LS at a salvage yard, than a rebuilt or remanufactured... unfortunately, easier said than done.
