Is there a documented DIY procedure for this or is it a dealer only option? I tried to search but nothing came up. TIA

Hell, I'm still looking for someone that can cut the key. I have two blanks with FOBs, but can't find anyone to cut them

 

Thats a different key from the 04 plus.....

 

I don't know if DIY programming is possible but it's def not dealer only. I bought a new fob (Lexus dealer parts dept.) shortly after purchasing my 430 from a small used dealer. The Lexus dealer cut the key as part of the purchase price of the fob but wanted an hour labor and a 3 hour wait to program. I didn't feel like waiting 3 + hours so I drove a few miles down the street and paid a locksmith to program it. He had the right equipment but it was a bit of a struggle for him. 30 min later I drove away happy after paying less than the dealer wanted.
