I was omw home in afternoon traffic today when my car all of a sudden just wouldn't move. Step on the gas and it would just rev. Now right before I got on the freeway, I noticed that from a stop it kind of felt like the diff was locking up when I would accelerate from a stop. This just happened out of the blue today. I have a generic scanner and all it pulled up besides my forever EVAP code, was a speed sensor fault. I forgot what the exact number was. Could it be a wheel speed sensor or transmission sensor? I'm trying to figure out where I should be starting out at to fix this. Thanks.
First, get the exact code, otherwise you are gonna be shooting blind with a shotgun. You should use a non-generic scanner like Techstream or at least a scanner specific to Japanese cars.
A faulty wheel speed sensor should not cause that problem, but a faulty transmission sensor or other transmission parts could. There are 2 transmission speed sensors accessible from under the car, one on each side of the transmission. Check the wires for damage, you can also remove and clean the sensors, search these forums for more info about that.

I wish I could but unfortunately I had cleared the code in an attempt to see if it would go away when it happened. After i cleared it, I was able to move enough to get off of the road and onto the shoulder lane. I believe it was a code 500 and said sensor A if memory serves me right.
