02 LS430 frt wheel speed sensor
As subject indicates, took car in for various idiot lights suddenly lighting up.
Dealer said "O2 sensor no good".
Fixed that and now they are telling me front wheel speed sensor is gone and complete wheel hub assy must be replaced as speed sensor is pressed in.
Asking 1500 for the job and that is after the 550-ish for the O2 sensor.
Is this anywhere near realistic?
Searching speed sensor on one of the parts sites, they are expensive but not 1500 and don't seem to be part of the hub itself.
Did I misunderstand the service tech?
Am I missing something?
Thanks for any info

$550 for an O2 sensor is highway robbery. The dealer is just gouging you and it's pretty disrespectful IMO. The speed sensor should be no more than $400 at the dealer so I don't know how they reached $1500 just to change one. Find you a reliable Indy mechanic to do work in your car in the future. Hubs can be extremely difficult to get out depending on where the car had lived most of it's life but a shop with the correct tools can do it with no problem.
Thanks for your comments.
So does the hub actually have to come out?
When I looked up wheel sensors on a parts site, all I saw were sensors, not integrated hub/sensor assemblies.
I was willing to give them the O2 sensor bill, I figure 200,000 miles and 19 years of salty winters probably makes it a pain and if I do the work, something else always breaks during the disassembly process. Plus I am not a fan of working on exhaust.
I appreciate the feedback.

When I had a code for a front speed sensor, it was actually the cable that was defective - hub and sensor was fine.
RH speed sensor cable 89516-50010
LH speed sensor cable 89516-50020
The front sensors do come out and can be pressed back in, with the right shop equipment. However, most people just buy the entire hub bearing assembly with the sensor already installed. If you do go with replacing the entire hub bearing, only buy the original Lexus part - the quality just isn't there in aftermarkets brands. Also, the front hubs and the front sensor cables are easily changeable yourself, barely any more difficult than changing a tire.
The dealer is charging way too much for both of those repair items - these items do not require boutique Lexus expertise. These are very basic things that literally any shop can do, they do not even need to specialize in Japanese vehicles. Get quotes from all the independent shops around, pick whichever one has lowest cost.
