I'm the type of person who likes my cars to be completely stock. Today I pulled the trigger on updating the fog lights to a yellow LED which I found on Amazon. what do you guys, which looks better.
Yellow LED in my opinion look great but are functionally worthless. I'm running a yellow LED in my JDM fogs and the light output is basically nothing. I have some proper Hella 9006 bulbs to install next time I'm under the car. I love the look but ugh. Thankfully the JDM fogs have the yellow capsule so hopefully the output is better while retaining the look.
This is an interesting thread. I don't care about the look, but have always been curious why the low lights on cars are white. Living in a rainy climate, I can appreciate in the dark they can help you see the road directly in front of you so I use them for that. For fog white is horrible. I have thought before about having a true amber bulb put in down there, but @Romanova is saying don't fall for the hip LED and order some pricier true amber lamps from a long-time reputable fog light company like Hella. Ok, but my experience with my Acura was when you try to up the performance of any bulb, you run into the problem of the current of the car kind of freaking out. The system of a car is a delicate balance. My RL used to burn up bulbs like candy.

I have read in the past that the yellow definitely cuts through the fog better than white.
Fog lights are designed to be below the fog. All fog is thinner the closer you get to the ground due to the condensation of the droplets onto the ground.
This is why fog lights are mounted as close to the ground as is reasonable.
Light is reflected back to the driver from all lights and with white lights this can lead to glare from the fog.
Yellow lights reduce this as our eyes cope better with yellow light.
When you turn on your front fog lights in fog, you should also turn off your headlights as the fog light is useless if you are dazzled by the reflection of your headlights by the fog.
Fog lights generally give worse illumination than headlights so you still need to SLOW DOWN when driving in fog.
If you are not driving in fog, but have your fog lights on then who cares ;-)
I always assumed ours were driving lights and not fog lights!
Correct. I think any car like ours is that way off the line. You can never drive with just the lower lights on. You would have to do a custom install, or start messing with factory wiring and relays, etc.

I’m actually able to do just that by putting the headlights in the auto position, don’t know how I just bought the car like that but it’s pretty nice ig
Speaking of LED fogs, i forgot the brand but I think it's auxito,I have dual colour LEDs, so I can switch between white or yellow by turning them off and back on. Pretty good, that I can switch colour depending on the conditions.
