Default LED Fog Light Upgrade

I have a 2012 IS350C and I'm want to upgrade my fog lights. I'm considering ordering these from VLED
"LMZ PLATINUM 45W ULTRA OUTPUT LED H11 H8 H9 H16"

These are 45W and 6000 lumens. Is that going to be to bright? I'm worried that the police might give a ticket if they are

Or does it not matter since they are fog lights and shouldn't shoot upwards?

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Thanks Nespo. Did you have to use any resistors with your vled fogs?

i did not have to use resistors. It was plug and play.. I'll try and snap a pic for you when I get the chance. Mine are 5k and are a pretty close match to the DRL LED

Thanks for the responses. Here's another quick question. Is there enough clearance space behind the fog light for a 2" x 2" heat sink?

Heres a link to their diagram

Do you know how many lumens your bulbs were rated at and does oncoming traffic ever flash you because they are too bright?

After doing more research now I'm leaning toward ordering these Morimoto's instead

Anyone have any experience with these?

I've had HID fogs for about 3 months now, oncoming traffic has never flashed me. One guy in front of me did pull over and let me go by, then proceeded to flash me until I showed him my high beams weren't on then he backed off.

I have DDM HID fogs and they are pretty damn bright. I think it's due to the lack of projector housing that causes the light to just disperse everywhere. So many angry people thinking they're getting high beamed!!
I've never heard of police harassing people for fog's being too bright. I think the only time they would is if it isn't foggy out and your fogs are on. I actually heard that they can pull you over to tell you to turn them off.

rather than making a new Thread, i'm going to post my advice for anyone doing them for the F Sport Model:

i got these from iJDMTOY in yellow:

https://store.ijdmtoy.com/products/l...t-70-600-white

they do have an install Guide but i would bring a few different size Philips screwdrivers to access these 2 bolts or raising the car helped getting access to these screws:

LED Fog Light Upgrade-hw5ksg2.jpg

"Locate the stock LED daytime running light adapter below the headlamp and unplug it.

After we tested the wires with a Multimeter, we found out that we are going to use the middle wire and the striped wire. Tap the red wire of the LED fog lights to the middle wire and tap the black wire of the LED fog lights to the striped wire.

We hardwired the setup since we didn't have any T-taps on hand, but you can use either T-taps or even quick taps to make this installation easier.

With the way we connected the wires, during the daytime only OEM LED daytime running light will light up and the JDM LED fog lights will be off.
In the nighttime, the headlights are on, the OEM LED daytime running light is on, and the LED fog lights are on.

You can also configure the wires another way so that the LED fog light can stay on at all times."

I want to make them turn on/off completely separate as i'm not a fan of tapping OEM wires for anything. Also, a Fuse holder should definitely be used as well:

i'll be finishing mine up tomorrow as i ran out of daylight and hopefully this can help someone in the future

the iJDMTOY guide is good and pictures always help but i think it could have been done differently

Morimoto's are very good from personal experience...i've had HIDs in a Retrofitted Headlight and they worked well. did get a set of LED ones but never got a chance to use them to see how much superior LEDs is over HIDs
