Long story. Mark Amp died, installed speakers, android head unit, and a sub. Running a 4 channel and a mono.

I can not figure the AC controls out, I have sound though no sub it has a single sub out but seemingly no control dont know why yet but thats a later thing.

One wiring configuration shows no ac function on headunit. Other configuration AC controls pop up but dont actually do anything. There are two connectors that fit the canbus i assume its because this model is compatible through both generations.

However, it doesn't seem plug and play either way one has the wiring from the single top usable plug oem harness into the headunit harness. And the other has litterally everything else. It seems like I need both somehow.

I believe the wiring already came with one splice that is mentioned here from both sides of the plug that goes into the CD/to factory harness below head unit, I believe this is the purple/ green splice people mentioned already done. Out of the pin it basically splits already, two into both sides of the harness. There may be a "jump" missing here on top of the splice, that's plug one, cd to both harnesses oem and headunit harness.

Second plug plugs into one of three remaining from the harness, other two empty no match, one plug up top out of three factory.

The plug that plugs in to the harness is pictured, the wires essentially run to nothing, two purple wires from that run to an unused connector, I feel like my problem is here somewhere i just can't figure it out without knowing the pin outs of all three harness plugs, or where I need to send info for climate to this system.

There's a small plug with two green wires that fits into the headunit it is directly responsible for ac functions showing up on the unit at all, its possible these may need to be spliced to something?

I've looked at all the pictures, they are either slightly different. Have connectors I don't seem to have but are mostly the same. Still can't line it up.

Please any input would help me greatly I've spent quite some time trying to figure out out. I've cut and spliced stuff with no change so far and reverted back.

 

If it is like the one I got you will need to flip the CANBUS box (small black box with a connection on both ends) it is one side for 04-06 and the other side for 01-03. On my unit there is a small accessibility circle you touch and it opens up the CD and fan settings and from there you can get in. For me the side buttons work to increase and decrease the temp and I use that to modulate the fan speed since I have not been able to modify it with the buttons in the unit. Works fine for me but I cannot tell if you radio is like mine or not. Should not need any cutting or splicing.
