Default Another smart key not recognized thread.

So I've looked at a few threads but nothing exactly matches that I've seen yet.

- Smart key works
- Smart key starts car
- Smart key becomes unrecognized when a door opens and closes and the car is running. It will continuously indicate no smart key detected until you turn off the car.
- Key is immediately detected after car is shut off and you can start vehicle again.

Getting frustrating. Any ideas?

2nd would be to disconnect the car battery, wait 5 mins, then reconnect.
Sometimes if the ECU (or other computer unit) has got into a loop then a power off reset works wonders.

why are you opening the door with the car running?
key is working fine
safety system prevents what you are trying to do.
if you leave car running when you get out somebody else could get in and drive off, but they could not re-start your car without the key.
