2003 LS 430 original owner. CD player working fine. Selected another disc and now the player will not play, scan or eject. Per a previous post solution, disconnected then reconnected battery, started ignition and pressed CD eject arrow but this power reset fix did not work.
Any other solutions?

 

Hit the side of the console really hard where the CD player is, with the audio system powered on.
It has gotten stuck and just needs enough of a jolt to free it up.
The mechanism gets gummed up over time, especially in smokers cars (airborne tar particles).

You may need to remove the CD player from the dash and take it apart to clean it.
I've not cleaned the LS CD player, but I had to clean the trunk CD changer in my 98 Acura twice (I was a heavy smoker back then).

 

press the eject button several times (after reconnecting battery) and press it and hold it pressed. this will eject all the discs.. just pressing the eject button once usually wont work. press it one ,two, three times and hold it pressed in. but yeah thump it good and that might work also
