Default Range Over.....

Typically when I refuel, I get "Range Over 375 Miles" by default, but the last time I refueled, it was over 400. What does everyone else's say? What's the highest you've seen?

Interesting mine has never gone higher than 412 or 413. I wonder how it calculates. It should easily do 500 miles on the highway.

I had 670 on road trip one time when I was averaging 27 mpg on the previous tank.

I've seen Range Over 425 miles on mine.
I think it calculates based on your Average MPG, as I got that after I reset the Average before going on vacation.

Typically over 400; one time got a 540 after a highway trek. If that reads under 100 go get gas....

So after you both filled up, that's what your range said? He's not asking for best tank ranges

OP is asking for right after a fill-up. I don't think mines ever been above 415mi.

Its most likely 21 gallons times your car's long term average mpg as registered in the car's ecm.

Yes, when on a trip it's always over 500 and in town right now it says around 450-490

Yes. I averaged 27 mpg on a tank. Filled up and it said "range over 670 miles". I don't know how it got this number because I would have to average over 31 mpg for the entire 22.2 gal tank to hit that distance. The best I've ever done is average 29 mpg on a 3 hour drive.

Default 395 for me

I fueled up 30 minutes ago at Exxon. Gotta love Tiger Tuesdays!

Anyway, my “average” mpg was 19.0

After filling up (handle clicks off automatically when I’m applying medium pressure, I fill another 2 seconds then stop), then rolling forward about 10’, the dash displayed RANGE OVER 395.

Weird that it calculated 395, because 21galx19.0avg mpg=399

Ohhhhh the worries of a Lexus owner!

Driving 99% city and getting approximately 14.5 mpg, I get fairly regularly 325 mi range. Not great mileage but comfortable ride for an aircraft carrier.

Do you have a 6 speed or 5? With my 5 I have found that I I leave a gap in traffic and use a pulse/glide tactic and get to 28-33 mph and back all the way off and barely press I can sustain 25-32 instant mpg after the initial burst. A 6 speed would allow you to manually get it up to speed then go directly to 5th or 6th

My average is 21-23mpg and half my drive by time is city stop and go light to light stuff

Yes, looking just for what it says right after fill up.

Interesting the replies are all over the board. My car seems to be stuck thinking it's getting a lower average MPG than it's actually getting, but the average on the display will often say well over 25 on a trip, but I have never gotten over "Range Over 412"

Is there a particular average it's looking at that I can reset?
