I’ve been an owner of a 2010 ls460 sport for a year now and recently picked up a 2004 ls430 UL for a deal. I was thinking of picking up a ct200h and letting go the 460 since I do 2 hrs of commuting a day and gas is seriously killing me. Any one have any idea for a more modern gauge cluster? Or even changing the amber readings out. It seriously reminds me of my sc400 cluster in the past which came out in 1992
The LS430 is what it is, a good old car, you can't change that. You'll be chasing your tail trying to modernize it, if you don't like the design move on to a newer car that you do like.
If you want my advice, sell the 430 for a prius of similar vintage to your 460 if you're concerned with MPG.

If you want a CT200h, avoid the ones with the standard halogen headlights that were rated Poor by the IIHS. Look for one with the optional auto leveling LED headlights. Ones with LED headlights can be easily identified by their pressure washers.. Pre-Collision System and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control were also options on the CT200h. I thought it was odd that the local Lexus dealer couldn't get a short wheelbase LS460 with PCS and DRCC when I had him look in early 2014 but he had no trouble finding a CT200h with PCS, DRCC (and LED headlights) at the next closest Lexus dealership.
why not swap a Honda S2000 Gauge cluster in your LS? Those are very futuristic looking.
its very common among civics and integras. my friends civic hatch in the past had a s2k cluster but he was also a computer genius and wired it himself lol

I agree with you the ls430 is a great car and maybe going backwards isn't such a great idea lol its more of going back and forth with the 430/460 that messes with my mind. The thing I like about the 430 is that it has a huge market for aftermarket parts vs my model ls460 parts are just rare or way too overpriced. A Prius or ct200h is def up in the air as I commute and the LS I keep will be more of my project "nice car" or shall I say weekend car lol

Thanks for the info. Had no clue about the different types of headlights for the CT. this 430UL I have does have ddcc and its a little strange for me, and its something I could live without. I have the same issue with my LS's that the 430 has rear reclining massage chairs with heated/cooled seats with the addition to the fridge and air purifier which my LS460 sport does not. Its hard to accept it haha

I actually own a second-generation S2000 and love it dearly. The cluster looks neat and suits the car, but by no means is it "modern" or "futuristic" looking. It's like an early video game, and doesn't hold a candle to modern vehicles.
