Default Car started but wont accelerate

Hello all,

I just bought used 2003 Ls 430. In the morning when I started the car it didn't start. I can hear the crank but it didn't start. I pressed the accelerator to peddle and it started fine. Next, when I tried to ride the car didn't accelerate with rpm going high but the car didn't move much forward. I parked the car with the engine running for 3 min and then the car rode fine. What could be the problem? Is it the battery or the alternator. Also during idle, I notice that ac was cooling. It was blowing warm air. The previous owner replaced the compressor. Can you guys help me

Could be the transmission level wasn't engaging, like it was in N when it was actually supposed to be in D.

Previous owner replaced the ac compressor? You can recharge your ac which will make it cold again but I would also buy the uv dye and check all the lines and compressor it’s self for leaks the gas they use is pretty toxic wouldn’t want to breath it in

You should plug in a Techstream code scanner to identify the cause of the engine and transmission problems. There are so many possibilities for engine and transmission troubles that any suggestions are just wild guesses. If you have a check engine light, that's helpful because this means there are stored trouble codes. A battery light indicates a problem with the charging system, such as the alternator or battery.

There are many reasons for the AC blowing warm air, so there are troubleshooting steps to take for that as well. The AC system also outputs diagnostic codes. During an AC system rebuild, refrigerant needs to be properly evacuated, all leaks repaired, system recharged to a specific number of grams depending if you have single or dual AC, and with correct type and amount of compressor oil added.

You might be better off taking the car to a Lexus or Toyota dealership and asking for a full inspection, and informing them of these various problems.
