Default Engine Bank #1 is Throwing Multiple Codes

6 months ago, my 2001 lexus ls 430 ul with 124000 miles on the odo threw a code.
It was for the 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. a couple months later, my lexus threw another code, this time for the knock sensor in bank 1. Now I have codes that are associated with the OCV or the VVT solenoid, and misfires from every cylinder on that bank.

Here are the 9 codes

P0141 : 02 SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (BANK 1 SENSOR 2)
P0325 : KNOCK SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT
P0760 : SHIFT SOLENOID 'C'
P1349: POWERTRAIN, MFG, IGNITION SYSTEMS OR MISFIRE, FAULT:49
P0300: RANDOM/MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED
P0301: CYLINDER 1 MISFIRE DETECTED
P0303: CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE DETECTED
P0305: CYLINDER 5 MISFIRE DETECTED
P0307: CYLINDER 7 MISFIRE DETECTED

The car still runs but it is idles rough. I live in the middle of nowhere right now and the nearest city with an auto parts store is 1 hour away.
Last time I changed my oil was 2k miles ago and before that was around 2k miles ago.
I did a spark plug change and replaced the valve cover gasket some time ago because it was leaking oil on that side.

One thing to check is the OCV (oil control valve) for that bank.

Oftentimes an OCV failure can be detected by a rattle when shaking the part in your hand...

I'm thinking that it would solve the misfire issue. What about the knock sensor? Would I need to replace both of them? I'm trying to estimate how much it would cost.

If one OCV has failed, then the other will follow.

Alright, thank you. What about the knock sensor? Is it the same thing? I already ordered the OCV and the o2 sensor. Just the knock sensor left. I still don't know what's up with the trans, so I am going to research that some more.

You may think of it this way... The knock sensor and the OCV (oil control valve) both are part of the VVT (Variavle Valve Timing) control system. The knock sensor is the input (the device that detects a problem) and the OCV is the output (the device that will do something to correct the problem). The OBDII recorded trouble with both devices, but most likely one of them is defective and causing the other to throw a code.

You can try erasing the DTC's and wait to see which one comes back first. Then proceed to troubleshoot based on that finding.

Alright. I already bought the OCV. I plan on running some transmission fluid with the oil already in the engine then changing that and the OCV.
Oh also the knock sensor threw a code first, but ill have to wait until i can take the engine apart for that.

thanks
