Default Adding back up camera to double DIN stereo?

I've searched and searched and came up empty handed. Has anyone added a backup camera to their aftermarket double DIN system? If so;
1) What camera did you choose?
2) Were you able to mount it flush to the trunk garnish?
3) How did you run the camera wire through the trunk... was there an existing hole, or did you have to drill one?

Thanks!

I have an aftermarket 2DIN head unit (Alpine ILX-107) and it's connected to a backup camera as well (Rydeen CM-DUO Mini Backup Camera w/ Night Vision), Best Buy did the installation for me so I can't speak to the specifics, but the camera works well - quite clear and the night time performance is very solid. I'll post pics of the head unit and the camera.

Did you pick that specific camera out or was it part of the package? (side note---you should have scrambled out the Dallas Cowboys license plate frame instead of your plate! )

Please beware that the wire colors for the backup lights on the 2001-2003 and 2004-2006 are different (see electrical schematic). Also please refer to the attached PDF for termination location information.

Thank you rkw77080 for posting this. I'm waiting on one more piece and then I will document the process of installing a backup camera on a non-nav LS430.

I picked (not part of a package) a highly rated, but reasonable, cam. It's very sharp - almost OEM quality, and the night performance is very respectable.

Go Cowboys!

I used the pioneer one that came with my headunit. I posted in a thread a few months back about the process. On my car there was a little plastic piece where I guess a factory camera would go, so I drilled a whole thru it and mounted it there. Honestly the camera is kinda junk, the camera on my GS is way better. Do you currently already have a double din in place?

Edit: Found the thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...install-5.html

It was difficult to fish the wires thru with the UL, I basically had to remove most of the back of my interior.
