Default Changing language on a celsior

I am importing a 2001 UCF31 Celsior (CF Interior selection). I was wondering is there a way to change the language/map to english/canada on the center screen? I have been told there is a chip of some sorts in the trunk, is there anyway to change, maybe take one from a CA spec car?

thanks

From all the research I've done, there is no way to do this. If you find a way to do it, please let me know.

I haven't played with my Techstream program in a while, but perhaps there's an option to change language settings in that program?
You could try purchasing the latest available North America Nav DVD and see if any of that appears on the screen in English?

Not sure what else to suggest.

The dvd is what I was thinking as well the nav hard drive, screen and assorted components asre not in Japanese tbey just read what they have been given so this would be a logical place to start.

Good question, I also noticed that. As far as I know (I'm not the IT guy) if you can get access to the datasheet 93C46 you can adjust the odometer too.
