Default LS430 Replacement?

Going to trade my 2005 LS430 in for one of equivalent size, to many things wrong with mine to sell privately due to Massachusetts Lemon Laws.
Without a doubt its the best car I've ever owned just to much wrong to have repaired $$.

What model from the Lexus 2014-2015 time frame am I looking for that would approximate the LS430 physical size?
Small requirement must haves:

All Wheel Drive
Leather
NAV
Satellite
Blue Tooth
2014 - 2015 Year
Want to Stay with Lexus

Can't identify what I'm looking for and don't want to argue with a used car salesmen, want to go in knowing what I'm looking for, not forced into something.
Friends are trying to talk me into the Audi A6. Of course they haven't had the Lexes experience.

Thanks in advance
Bob

Well, you ask what model from 2014-2015 time frame, and then one of your requirements are 2005 - 2006 year..

So, which would it be? AWD can be found on the LS460, but will no doubt be pricier than the A6

2K, I think you simply misread his post. His grammer could have been a little clearer though. I think he wants a car that's equal in size to the LS430 but something in the 2014-2015 time frame.

The LS430 is a large car. I would argue that the A6 is smaller than what you are looking for and that the A8 would be a better fit if that is what you really desire. Other possibilities would be the BMW 7 series, Lexus LS460, Mercedes S-class. Maybe a Genesis G90 might be appealing. How much do you want to spend???

Hi propcop ... well ... I have to confess that although I really love my old LS 400 ... my eyes have been wandering in the direction of the Audi A7, which of course is an entirely different animal than any LS ... I am looking at the A7 for several reasons: It is ridiculously cool ... it is very practical due to its hidden "liftback" design ( they call it a SportBack ) .... it is very fast yet capable of good gas milage if you keep your foot out of it .... they can be equipped with good safety tech ( probably my strongest reason to want one at the moment ) ... and ... there are not a million of them around, so it is kinda fun to have one of the only ones in town ... .. .. Oh! you said you really want All Wheel Drive ... yes, well ... as we all know, the Audis are famous for their 'Quatro System" .. .. .. the downside is that as a DIY guy such as myself, the Audi cars tend to be time consuming to work on for doing more advanced type of engine work. Having said that, doing fluid changes, etc are not bad ... and that is the trick on these; doing all the fluids well before they expire and using Audi spec. fluids even though they cost too much ..... I think if I were to get a used one, I would want one with less than 15,000 miles due to the fact I do not want to deal with a timing belt on it for a long time, you know? : ) sooooooo, yeah ... just sayin' .... ( the A8 might be an option also due to its larger size, however it does not have the Sportback feature ) Best of luck to you on your next car - -- -- : )

Default cadillac

There is a "drive for the cure" once a year at Bergstrom(they have nearly very brand of car). I think I drove this one or maybe the larger one but it is worth a drive. They have done alot here with the venerable 3.8 and pair it to an 8 speed. I bet they depreciate fast versus Audi, BMW Benz and others but here they are rated well. Worth a test drive.

Might want to drive the chrysler 300, I think it is AWD.

Possibly a '14-15 Hyundai Genesis AWD in either 3.8 or 5.0 liter varieties. The dimensions are close to the LS430 and it might be a good option. The Genesis will ride a bit firmer than your LS430 but it is softer than an Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Cadillac CT6 and LS460. The market hasn't really responded to the Hyundai/Kia K900 (no AWD) so they depreciate quicker so a low-mile '15 could well be right in the $28k-35k range depending on where you live. Most of them were leased so you might find an AWD coming off lease. If you stretch to a '17 model then the Genesis G90 fits the requirement although its floor is about $40k used.

Well, since he edited his post, I don't believe I misread it. In any case, it's clear that Bob wants to stay in the Lexus lineup and have AWD. So, the only options would be an LS460 with AWD, an RX or GX. The LX is a beast compared to the LS and really quite different in ownership experience.

I think you would be best suited with a LS460. If I am not mistaken, the advice on this forum is to go 2013+, and you are seeking 14-'15, so you have cleared the '13+ advice. imho if you leave Lexus, the quality might not be the same. If you go non Japanese, the driving dynamics may be better, but the overall reliability may be less. I have a friend with a brand new 540i, and he is so frustrated that he is thinking about getting rid of the car already. To BMWs defense, he is a perfectionist, meaning, won't tolerate a tiny squeak in the steering column that the dealer has been unable to fix over 5 visits (this does not make the car a lemon)....good luck, the LS460 is definitely worth a look...
