Yeah we're not in HS anymore, I don't think the trunk is big enough (it is funny to think back to HS for real and what we actually did and could do)

No, not talking about the Ultra A/C unit. What is the one on the floor of the trunk of every LS 430?

I think its for skis most likely or to fit long items?, or trunk access? if you are talking on the back of the rear seat in the center looking in from the trunk?

The LS430 fuel tank is located under the rear seats. The fuel lines exit the fuel tank from the top at the center of the tank to the charcoal canister. The hump in the trunk is to accommodate the charcoal canister (Toyota 77740-50092).

I know this is an old thread, but I was just researching this as I was taking some measurements in the trunk and this thread popped up first. When I start working on my SQ sound system, I was really hoping to be able to fit a single 15" driver back there firing through the ski pass-through, but that stupid hump is in the way, limiting space for a 12" driver instead.

It's funny, the LS400's and 430's are know for being very well thought out and well sorted vehicles, yet they throw the fuel lines and charcoal canister in such a horrible (afterthought) spot that they had to ruin the floor of the trunk in the process. Lexus could have easily routed those lines a different way and mounted that charcoal canister anywhere. Oh well, no point in complaining about it I guess.
