Went to the dealer today and had the next trunk cushions installed. It's like a new trunk and it closes great without slamming. Just wanted to post this in case others are thinking about getting this fixed.

 

what kind of cushion is it, and where does it go.

 

If you open your trunk it is those little rubber cushions on your trunk that meet your rear bumper. They replace those with different ones and also do something to the spring majigiys (sorry not sure what those hydraulic things are called)

 

Trunk struts
