It looks like he's in BC Canada, and no doubt the car is an import from Japan, which means the driver messages all come up in Japanese.

We need Kira X to translate.

Ya from B.C. Canada. I picked up my 2001 Celsior just over a year ago. The maintenance light and this message came on Friday evening. It won’t reset I’ve checked all the obvious things like lights, tire pressure and am going to check the breaks today. Having a light on drives me insane. It would be great if I could change the language in the car.

If you have a phone that has google translate app on it, with access to the internet, you can do a live translation of the said text I believe.

Not sure what it says, but if it's not going away after 15 seconds, it might be the 5k service required reminder? Here's the general procedure on how to 'reset' the maintenance required message that pops onto the display every 5k miles. Try this procedure to reset:

The red triangle is programmed to come on with "Maint Reqd Soon" every 4,500 miles, and again with "Maint Reqd" at 5,000 miles, to remind you to change your engine oil.

You can reset the warning light by the following procedure:
1) With the ignition "ON" push the trip meter button on the dash repeatedly until you have a blank display (neither A nor B trip mileage is displayed).
2) Turn ignition "OFF"
3) While pressing and holding the trip meter "RESET" button on the dash-board, turn the ignition "ON"
4) Keep pressing and holding the "RESET" button until the "Mileage Reset" appears on the display and a warning tone sounds and the display clears.

Turns out it was my headlight the daylights worked fine but the left side head light was out when I turned them on. It was hard to see when it was light out but easy to tell when I shut the lights off in the garage. On the up side my breaks are all in great shape I got the tires rotated and the car has had a good once over.

It says (if we take it literally) "rear lamp bulb cut". Looks like one of your rear lights are out possibly.
