Is there any uber "rare" options like a ls430 without a sunroof stuff like that? I am curious I know about the saddle leather and the wine colored leather as well.
Same here - none that I know about... I've seen a few early LS400's with cloth interiors, but they all had sunroofs. The 430s no doubt all came with Leather and sunroofs. Maybe a JDM Celsior could be found without one??

That could be the case I know that the celsior had the option for cloth seats as well, I am super curious if there is anything else like that, does anybody know about super rare items that came on very few ls430's?
I am in UK but bought my 2004 LS430 in Ireland, where the standard spec is no sunroof. True of the 460 as well, I believe.
For completeness, I should say this is not a stripped-down spec. Mine doesn't have the back seat extras, but has soft-close, ML sound, heated/cooled front seats etc. And comes in a delightful Briarwood Pearl
That's awsome man thanks for sharing i kinda want one without a sunroof sometimes lol anyone else have other rare or different options not on most?
well, since mine is an ULTRA, it probably has features which are unknown to most LS430 owners. The radar cruise control is one that I had no Idea about, when I was bringing it home, I had it on cruise control and enjoying the ride, suddenly someone changed lanes and got in front of me, the car started beeping and a drastic downshift followed, the RPM went up to close to 4000, it scared the hell out of me, I thought for sure the transmission was destroyed, didn't know what was going on. Later I found out what the reason was ))
Standard equipment, options and packages for the LS 430 were all entirely market dependent.
For each market the local sales organization would specify what would sell the best.
Many examples could be given:
In Japan all variants were offered with the choice of two interior cloth colors.
In Japan together with the navigation screen four different audio systems were offered: ML with cassette player or DAT, non-ML with cassette player or DAT.
In Japan the controls in the rear seat armrest had nine instead of six buttons for seat control.
In Japan head lamp washers were not offered at all.
In Japan parking assist was an option for all variants but was rarely ordered.
In the UK there was only one version (at least for 2004-06) corresponding to a UL version, however, no laser cruise control. The radar cruise control was an option.
In the US the front fender indicator lights were not offered.
The saddle interior was not offered in Japan and Europe.
Others may add details for other markets, e.g. what was offered in Australia or the middle east.
Kind of reviving a dead thread here, but my LS430 doesn't have a sunroof. It's a USA market 2002 base model. IIRC it came with a couple of extras, but no navigation, no ML stereo, etc.
I'm curious, does anyone else have an LS430 without a sunroof?

The power moonroof didn't become standard on the U.S. market LS430 until the 2004 model year although obviously few of the early ones were ordered without one.
Here are the 2002 LS430 specs showing the moonroof as being a $1,100 option.
As appears from the spec sheet the only options you could have without getting the moon roof included was Heated Front and Rear Seats and upgraded wheels.
A 2002 model without moon roof is thus rather basic.
My buddy had a Porsche without a sunroof (before it was cool this was the 90's)--now BMWs are cool when they don't have one. It would be interesting to see how many people actually use them, my hunch is < 50%. Then, they become a liability if they don't shut or someone sees a puddle in a footwell....
