Default Front Seats

1997 LS400 Coach - Beigh interior.
Are replacement leather seat covers for the front seats available? Also, front seat heat no longer works. Are these heat mats available?

Ask your local Lexus or other high end dealer whom they use for leather repair.
I am always amazed at the work they do. They will be able to replace your seat
material and heaters are apparently easy to do as well.

I worked at a domestic dealer prior to Lexus and the factory severely underestimated
the demand for leather. We outsourced quite a few and for $1900 (1990's money...)
made the factory stuff look shabby.

Most high end leather places do either leather repair or replace it with a way better material than factory.
Not the best video but this is quite entertaining

Dunno about everyone else, have you sat in your pass. seat while someone else drives? For my '06, it's night and day, I guess the seat cushion has sunken. I would like to get it replaced and from what I have read it isn't really DIY because of "hog rings?" At the same time, it may be $100 labor for the pros? And the part is $194 online...I'll be looking into it, this may be why I have been calling this car a literal sofa on wheels, with a new cushion it would be much more like a car, the pass. seat proves that....the part is 71512-50150

In all the cars I have owned, the only one that had a soft seat was a 11 y.o. Volvo.....two other Volvos of the same age were fine, as is my 20 y.o. Nissan. Wonder if it has to do with the weight of the original owners, not sure....

I didn't realize how flat my drivers seat was until I sat in one of the back seats. They are super comfortable. Even my '94 Toyota pickup with the original bench seat is more comfortable than my '01's drivers seat. I think I'll take it to an upholstery shop this winter and have them redo the foam. Mine is only heated so they should have no issue. The factory replacement foam seems to be unavailable for my year.
