Default Fix your black leather front seats

Guys: When I restored my interior (see last photo), I figured out a way to get my seats to look awesome. Like everyone else, my seats were in OK shape, just had some rips and tears that looked like crap. I found a same year Grey leather seat from another Lexus, dropped the seat off at an interior trim shop, and for $75 they disassembled the leather cover, used the ripped bolster as a pattern, and stitched me up a replacement from the material I provided from the donor car. Best $75 I ever spent.

The trick here was to find the same year leather. It has the same feel, texture, and wear as your existing leather. Up for sale here is the leather seat backs from a 95SC, factory black. If your seat backs are worn, just replace with these. If your bottoms are shot, you can use this material to have a shop repair yours. I am selling the back leather, seat back plastics and headrests as a group. I have the drivers side and passenger side. $95 a side for all 3 pieces, plus shipping.

Very slight wear on the outside bolsters, but again it should match the wear on your existing seats. Look how mine turned out. PM if interested. Thanks, Dave

Wow! Came out great. It's hard to believe that's the interior off 93!

Very well done, and the carbon fiber accents look great too.

Don't rub it in lol. I had to shell out 600 bucks just for the labour for my seats. he materials were another 300 bucks. They look great!

Yeah, I imagine most places will charge a lot more than $75 for that amount of work. As such, I would caution others about going this route unless first ensuring you can get similarly affordable patch work done in your area, otherwise you could be shelling out several hundred dollars for something that will also fall apart in short order. The original leather in all of these cars was poor quality and will be falling apart soon unless it was very well maintained throughout the years.

I will say that the $75 I paid was a good price. But I did pull out the seat my self and just drop if off at his shop. He did it as his leisure, 4 days later I was good to go. The backs I have are in really good shape and worth being used to save someone else's interior.
