Hey guys,

I have a 3UZ 2004 LS430 with headers, and a custom exhaust.

Wondering what options people are using to tune them with piggy back computers, if so what models were you using and what gains did you get?

I see some just alter the air flow signal... seems limited... do any alter ignition timing?

From what I know. Toyota makes it deficit to tune ther cars. Unles you go withe an aftermarket ecu.
But I could be wrong as times have changed.

 

Do aftermarket ECU's exist for these cars? Has anyone tried one?

 

I haven't seen an aftermarket ECU for the LS yet. I hope a tuning option pops up.

 

The one I am toalking about are profitional ecus. As many have used the uz engine with manual transmition in other chases & the OEM ecu will not work withe a manual. Can't remember any one of those now. It's been years when I stumbled on the builds on the net.
But be prepared as that option will be expensive.
Oh I think tom (Japanese Tuner) had a re-flashed ecu.

 

I'm also interested if anyone has had success w/ piggy backs. Here's a vid of someone tuning a 3uz w/ a megaquirt 3 standalone ECU. Made 214kw and 505nM at the flywheel. (286hp/370ft lbs)
