There seems to be a piece that folds down, and closes the gap between the rearview and the top of the windshield? Just found it this morning.....

It blocks the sun from coming through that space, usually when you have both sunshades down.

Yeah it's a very neat feature to block the sun when it's right on top of the mirror. I use it all the time - somehow I drive to work in the morning towards the rising sun and back in the evening towards the setting sun.

Interesting, I enjoy finding hidden features....the stitching on the handles above each door is a nice touch too! My toddler discovered that....
