How well does your gd opener work? The clicker that came with the opener is mounted on my motorcycle, and opens the door from fifty feet away. The opener button on my rearview mirror doesn't do a thing until I'm about ten feet from the door.
Does your car seem to have a weak signal? Would there be any way for the dealer to check signal strength?
I push mine about 4 houses down, before I can even see my house, and the door is open by the time I pull into the driveway. Seems like yours is having a signal strength issue.
I don't have any problem with the opener buttons on the rear view mirror. Have you tried programming a different button? I would try a different button and see if the signal strength improves.
hmmm... strange, as I experience the opposite, the button on my rearview works from a greater distance than my actual opener. Do you have any tint on your windshield? Camera, radar detector, anything that may be obstructing the signal?
Hello all, this is my first post here on CL. Figured as good a time as any to chime in. My experience is the same as PatrixUSA in that my programmed review button opens my garage from a significantly greater distance than my standard handheld opener.
Have you tried programming a different button on your rearview mirror to see if the issue is isolated?

Did you ever find a solution for this?,
Mine is the same thing. I need to be within 10 feet from my garage door for it to open. This sux. I will try to reset and reprogram again.
