Default Logos on side glass different

On pass and driver's side....hope that's from the factory (and not due to accident or theft)! All say Lexus, just not same insignia or identification....

edit: will post pics tomorrow

The UL and CL have laminated (two pane) glass and I believe the labeling indicates laminate. All others use a one pane glass that is labeled temperlite. As someone who has replaced my beloved '02 UL with a pristine '03 ML/Nav, I don't notice any difference. Others on this forum, however, have strong feelings either way.

Interesting, only the windshield says Lamisafe. Mine is a ML. I had to put a piece of cardboard behind the logo, so that the labels could be seen, the driver's side is very faint. Even looks like different mfgs, Asahi and Nippon.

edit: All glass is Asahi (incl windshield and back glass), except the 3 pieces on the pass side....could they have used 2 brands off the assy line, or is there some monkey business going on....

Just looked at mine. Drivers side and rear say temperlite. Passenger side glasses don't say temperlite. All have Lexus logo.

Very interesting, thanks for checking....then maybe the factory did that. Because it does seem odd to replace glass other than the windshield, or maybe the rear small window for a break in.....and again all do say LEXUS.....maybe a replacement might not....

Some current non-OEM glass has the Lexus logo. 2004 LS430's had glass made by ASAHI, indicated by DOT 20 (a Department of Transportation) issued to manufactures so the glass can be tracked to origin.
