Is it just me, or is the 330's windshield dual-glazed (2 layers)?

 

I haven't had a chance to see the 330 windshield glass up close. Are you talking about the standard safety glass used in all windshields? It is made of 2 layers with a layer of plastic inbetween to keep it from fragmenting.

Or you talking about an actual two layer with a space inbetween? I think the Mercedies went to that for side windows for better insulation (temp and noise).

 

While cleaning the outside of my windshield, I noticed the etched "Lexus" logo made a reflective shadow clearly showing a second piece of glass. It looked like 2 glasses w/ a space in between.
