I know that there are fuse boxes to the left of the driver, and the right of the passenger (I'm new and I had to find the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket in the ash try, which was on the pass side).

I was in the trunk yesterday replacing the DVD, so I can say for whatever reason, that unit is difficult to maneuver, so be careful to not scratch up the DVD...I didn't get the unit totally free so it was at an angle...

Curious....what do you see on your dash if the reader is not powered.....I see no difference after the disc update but I knew going into it, it wasn't as if the screen would change....

Well, if you do get it working, seems that 2016 discs are available on eBay for $13.....worked for me....the one I took out said 2004 maps, as if it were a 2005 disc, my car was mfg 10/05.....good luck.

Don't replace the whole DVD player until you verify there's power to the wire harness connector at the DVD player. There is a fuse. rkw may be able to post a pdf showing both the location of the junction box ("J/B") containing the specific fuse, as well as the location of the fuse within the J/B.

EDIT: You have two (2) current threads on this very same issue.

Please check the 7.5A fuse called "RR ACC" in the trunk, and the 7.5A fuse called "TEL" in the passenger fuse box.
