DIY 2001-2003 Projector headlight retrofit
What's going on everyone, I am in the process of adding projectors to the headlights. I have been searching was not able to find a complete DIY guide. I am NOT a professional so please try this at your own risk. I am going the easiest route that I can find. I was trying to add SC430 Projectors, but it looks too complicated for me, as I am not the most handy person. I decided to go with the Morimoto D2S 3 inch projectors. They are decent, not the best but it will do to my taste. Plus it's alot easier. Tell me what you guys think. I will post updates soon.

DIY part 1
The projectors that I used is the Morimoto D2S 3.0, I just saw that they just came out with a new one, the morimoto D2S 4.0
First you have remove the headlight. There are 3 nuts that have to be removed. They are all 10mm, two of them can be removed from the top, and the other at the wheel well.
In the picture I have circled where all the nuts are located. The one that says last one, the nut is located behind the wheel well. To remove this, you will have to turn the wheel all the way left to remove the passenger headlight, and all the way right to remove the driver headlight. When you do that, you have to remove some of the clips, and you can just pry the plastic piece of the wheel well just far enough so that you can stick your hand in there and remove the last nut. The last nut is open ended and does not look like the other two nuts. The nut will be pointed toward the end of the vehicle.

After all the nuts are removed, you can just pry out the headlight. Unclip all the wire harnesses, and remove the HID bulb.
Next to remove the headlight lens you preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Once the oven reaches this temperature MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE OVER and then place the headlight in the oven for 15 minutes. I forgot to turn off the oven on one side and ended up melting some part of the housing, it wasn't to bad but the lens kinda got hazy so now I have to do the sanding method.

After the 15 minutes are done. Take out the headlights and let it cool off for about 3-5 minutes then try to remove the headlight lens using a flat head.
GO AT A SLOW PACE, BECAUSE IF YOU RUSH IT, THE GOO CAN GET REALLY MESSY AND GET ALL OVER THE HOUSING.
Once you got the lens separated, you need to remove the reflector plate located in the headlight housing.
To do this you will need to turn the headlight adjust the nut counter clockwise until it gets all the way to the end then gently pry off the reflector plate. You will hear a pop, that is the sound of the headlight auto leveling separating from the housing.

Now that you have removed the reflector plate. It's time to remove the reflector bowl shown in the picture below. This requires to remove two screws, using a Philips screw driver.

After the reflector bowl is removed it is time to use the dremmel. With the metal plate provided, in the picture below. Try to alight this as straight as you can horizontally. Oncell you have, start cutting.
REMEMBER TO CUT SMALL AMOUNTS AT A TIME AND KEEP TEST FITTING IT.
DO NOT CUT TOO MUCH BECAUSE THIS ISITE NEEDED TO KEEP THE PROJECTOR IN PLACE.
