Blast pipes
So your talking about adding a one to two foot section of pipe on the stock mufflers???? Ummmm hate to brake it to you guy but go outside and rev your car and thats as much sound as you will get from your "blast pipes".
If you remove the mufflers the car will be a lot more louder. The LS430 mufflers have super sound deadening features, but for it to get crazy loud you would have to remove the middle resonator.
I personally removed the resonators after the cats, replaced with straight pipe.
Then removed the middle resonator, and replaced with an "x-pipe", but left the stock mufflers.
I then installed an electric cutout that is triggered via a remote to open and close the cutout. That way, when the cutouts are closed, the exhaust has to go through the muffler(therefore deadening the sound, leaving the car almost sounding stock)
But when I open the cutouts, hell is unleashed.
Oh, and I did change my mufflers to Borla's recently..

"on the stock mufflers???" Was what i said thats what a screamer pipe is, a large section of pipe off the muffler. Its based off of japenese bosuko styling you talking about muffler deletes which is completely different.

All e cut outs die eventually if there electronic the heat from the exhaust kills the electronics, your much better off doing a x pipe were the third cat is and then do straight piping from the x pipe and no mufflers. There is a video or two on YouTube with ls's with just a muffler delete done.
Especially since the cutout I got from them was a rather smaller cutout, they call it "low profile", because of the small space that is available under the car, you will need a smaller sized cutout, and so that it also never scrapes and stays very high off the ground.
