Yep... I did that for a while until I decided to replace the motor.

All you have to do is

Take the plastic cover out
Unplug the motor
Remove the two big HEX screw on each side.
Adjust the steering at the position you want by screwing in or out the motor
Put everything back together except don't plug the motor... You don't want it to start moving and failing again in a awkward position
