First thread on here, please be gentle.

I have read up on updating the nav system in my 2002 430. I currently have the original map disc. I have concluded that I need the disc whose part number is PT219-GN23W-13 for my Gen2/3 nav system.

I got this info from here:

I found one for $40 but it says don't purchase if you are using version 1, which unfortunately I am.

So my question is what can I do about it and why does it matter if it is just switching out a disc?

Any insights would be appreciated!
