Hello first off I am new to this and attempted to research my question but did not find the answer. I have a 2006 Rx400h and my NAV system says its ver .05.1. I was going to purchase a new disk Gen 5 Ver 6.1 86271-53021 with a U31 on it. What is the benefit of the new disk? And does the version of the disk matter as I am in Canada... Thanks...

 

Sorry, I can't help with your question, but I was curious to know how often people plan to upgrade the nav DVDs? I was thinking perhaps every 3-5 years. A lot of new Starbucks can pop in that time frame!

 

you will not be able to perform the nav over-ride trick if you upgrade to the ver 6.1 w/o u having to modifying the disk prior to re-inserting it into your nav DVD.
