Default No Padding on Center Armrest

As you can see, I have 3 Lexus. Both of my older ones have super padded center console armrests. My 2005 has virtually none at the edges near the tubing that runs the perimeter. Is that normal? Do I have an OEM armrest with the little tubing running around the edge of the pad? The leather itself is in great condition.

The padding on the center armrest is surprising not plush. It's almost leather on a thin foam it feels. No, it's "normal" I would say.

I agree. It could use some extra foam. The armrest on my 99' felt more substantial.

ive been thinking about taking my centre console to an upholstery shop and getting them to add foam and hopefully wrap it in ecru (or somewhat color matching) suede.

I have an 04, and I'm right there with you. Practically no padding at all on the front armrest. I can feel the material at the bottom if I leave my arm on it for a while.

Mine too 04. The Sade part is. The previous owner had all the internet redone in Napa. Looks amazing but he did not ad additional foam in the Arne rest. What a shame.
Now I am split between redoing it or just leave it, as I am affread if I do it I may get deferent shade and it will not match the rest of the car.
