Default Mirrors won't tilt

Yes, I have used the search function in every way possible.

My mirrors will no longer tilt down when reversing. I have placed the mirror switch in all different positions with no luck. Now what?

BTW 2003 LS430

I'm desparate here. I keep running over small children.

Try cleaning the contacts on the back of the switch. Most mirror issues are switch related.

First, I will assume that you have verified the motor that drives the mirror up-and-down is functioning properly. The next step is to check power to the transmission position switch. Look for a 7.5A fuse labeled "FR IG" and check to see if it's blown. It's in the No.1 J/B in the engine bay. There are 2 J/B's behind the driver side headlight, a square one and a triangular one. No.1 J/B is the square one.

Default Mirrors won't reset after tilting down

Hey,
Does anyone know why the mirrors don't reset back to the same position once back in drive, after tilting down in reverse???

Mine are off almost everytime :/

Default remote auto-folding mirrors

Also, has anyone figured out a way to set the fold-in mirrors up on a module to fold automatically?

A friend of mine was able to do this to his 3 series. He added a module that enables mirrors to fold when he presses a button on his alarm remote.

Also, closes windows & sunroof. Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps they go back to the memory setting and not the last adjusted setting. I'm not saying go away but you might want to look around the GS forum, this is the LS 430 area, unless you also have an LS430. Answer might be different for your car.

yeah check the GS forums. Must be a different type of issue as I've never heard of it not going back, I've only heard of it not working at all or working perfectly.

I seem to have fixed my problem simply by adjusting my mirrors. Turns out that The L-R Mirror adjustment switch was in the wrong position. You'd think I would read the owners manual after 8 years of driving LS's.
