Default What's wrong with my window ?

I rolled down all my windows down to let the hot air out of my car and when I went to roll them back up , the rear passenger window would not go up. I had only rolled it down maybe half way. So I got out of the car and ended up pulling it up a little by hand and got it to where something was able to catch it and roll it all the way back up. But as I started driving , it started slowly opening back up.So I kept closing it using the controls on the drivers door.

20 minutes or so go by of my constantly having to roll it up and finally the whole window just got sucked up into the door and now it will not roll up at all. I can hear something when I press on the window button so I'm kinda baffled here . Can it be that it came off the track ? Should I bother taking the door panel off or will i not be able to see what's going on ? I need to get this figured out qwik as there is rain coming in the next few days and I have no garage . Advice please

I tried to pull the panel off but got stock on the top section. I could not find a diy on rear door panels , only front. i tried to follow the steps but for some reason the top of the door panel does not wanna come off.

when you have all the screws out and all the fasteners pulled you need to lift the door panel up and out.

got the panel off , fixed the window. But if i put the window up it goes back down half way automatically. So I had to put the window up and then shut the engine off as soon as it closed. Turned the car back on and it's staying shut but I would like to be able to use my windows. Can anyone explain why this is happening ? Sounds like a child safety feature since its going down half way

Like everyone else I am leaning towards the regulator. I have a TIS subscription and will take a look at the problem symptom table for you. In the mean time here is the parts listing for the door. http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S430-2004.html
