Here are my new upgraded mirrors on my 2004 LS430

All the lights are lit in the 1st pic because I have my emergency blinkers on.

yes. They're even wired up to come on and off when I activate the door locks...

 

A guy on Ebay. They even come pre-painted. The passenger side I wired into the front passenger light. The driver's side I wired into under the dash.

 

Yup...the same ones.

 

how was the install and can someone novice do this?

 

I have to admit I had my mechanic put them on. Took him about 2 hours a mirror.

 

I had my paint guy install mine and it took him three hours on the first since he routed the wiring through the car and hooked it up to the headlights. The other one didn't take him as long.

I personally wouldn't do it myself. It's a lot of work.

 

Some sellers of the turn signal mirror covers offer to paint them for you. Had my paint guy paint them - perfect paint match and life-time paint warranty. Installed DIY. Did it in stages - requires patience and knowledge of door & mirror assembly, & electrical wiring . Custom wired into turn signal wires under door sill plate using individual fuses that come with the kit. Lights in turn signal are LEDs that match quite well to the front and rear turn signal amber lights. It's a very cool looking upgrade / updated mod, as well as functional (safety with the additional side turn signals). They are JDM so they look OEM.

 

did you tap in straight to ur turn signal wires or in the dash some where?

 

For the drivers side tapped in under the dash. For the passenger side went to the wiring for the light itself.
