is it possible to not disable the tilt, but to just turn off the auto feature?

Mine goes in and out and adjusts everything I turn the car on and off, I know this will lead it to prematurely break.

My drivers side power window is already acting up, ive disabled that one to save it from any further breakage.

Yes, you can disable the auto tilt and still use all the functions.

There's no button for it, someone with a scantool has to reprogram it. Search this forum subsection for C-best settings, there's a whole lot of user definable settings you may want to look at.

Default tilt motor

I ordered the part from Sewell. Got it with the CL discount for $293, Total was $305 with shipping.. As I said earlier, the Toyota dealer wanted $450 just for the part. Labor will be $125. So i will be in it for a total of $430 thanks to CL and Sewell. Getting it installed next week.

1st- What mileage does this problem rare its ugly head, generally? Surely short city driving causes it much faster than mostly highway driven cars but normally whens it usually start?

2nd- Are there certain yrs it shows up more often and are there certain yrs one can upgrade some with so it shows up much later rather than much sooner next time around? Any better built yr motors I mean?

I had a nice custom T/A many yrs ago (sorry Lexus wasn't quite born yet. Hell Toyota itself was still knocking on our door) but that ol' T/A loved to eat window motors.Typical GM I know..lol If one kept replacing theirs with the same T/A window motor the issue soon returned again and again, but drilling one more mounting hole and simply installing the bigger motor from a Buick Riviera the same yr all your madness was solved for yrs to come. Just curious if Lexus may have made a better motor one can easily install here from a different yr/model?
Thanks for the pics & your knowledge all of you share here folks. Lubing and cleaning goes a long long way in saving most moving parts and just learning where a dab or two goes is priceless. It does wonders for the ol' wallet...I Thank You All!
Please stay safe for all our loved ones.
