I second, third, fourth and fifth the sentiment.... stick with the basics (silver, gray, etc). I agree with SRT... the V8 makes you look like you are in relentless pursuit of an older S class....

i will not be taking off the v8 symbols as long as i own the car, but thanks again for all the constructive criticisms. old v12 s600 yes it does sort of take from that concept but that was a v12 not a v8.
in japan our celriors regularly have a little emblem in this exact location, but its a weird little symbol and not a v8.
i once had a guy at an auto shop ask me if my car was a v8 v12??? huh
seem like i'm gonna be keeping it more simple and not going with the gold (apparently they are copper and not orange in real life but the camera keeps picking up some orange tones )
the side view mirrors were purchased through a CL vendor by the name of nigel_jdm i believe. the parts weren't that much, but the installation sucked a little. i paid like $550 when it was all said and done.
