I took this from a craigslist posting here in Tucson - this guys is selling his LS and posted the comment below in the ad - do these numbers sound realistic or is this just wishful thinking?

" Injen intake manifold and throaty Blitz-Nur Exhaust system, plus ECU chip have increased horsepower from stock 290 to a whopping 360HP."

 

I wouldn't even call it wishful thinking...just a flat out lie.

 

Sounds dubious to me. I would want to the see the results of a dyno run to verify.

 

changing the air intake and changing the exhaust may make it a lot louder, but it wont add 70 horsepower.
maybe it might add 3 ..... its BS for sure

That HP figure assumes a 5 HP gain per performance sticker.

 

i was thinking it would add like 5 hp for the intake, 10 for a full cat back system, and maybe 5 more for the ecu chip. this is about what it did for my old GS400, it added about 22 bhp i believe, but that was on a GS400.

 

man, why couldn't Lexus figure this out and give us something with 360 hp?
