Transmission TSB
Folks,
I tried to get the TSB for the poor performance at low speeds done last time, and the dealer said they had updated the firmware. Transmission is still performing the same though...nearing a turn, slowing down, then making the turn and accelerating the RPMs jump to over 2k. Also, at around 30-40 mph, I try to hit the gas pedal, the tranny won't downshift and shift into a lower gear (was trying to make it through a light that was turning yellow).
I have another appointment with them tomorrow - anything further I should tell them to help them identify the problem?
Thanks,
Sajjad

Mileage ? If it's above 150k miles - you need to overhaul your tranny. No firmware update will fix worn parts. There's no magic.
Also, do you have grasp of understanding the works of modern adaptive tranny ? It will try to approximate your driving style and create a table of pressures used to perform each op (shift etc) most smoothly....
You can reset tranny adapts by removing the + lead from batt for 15mins.
But if your usual driving style is mellow, to make it behave aggressively (fast downshifts etc) you need to be very aggressive on the throttle. About 75%+ open to downshift....
