Default transmission

i have a 1996 and the transmission blew on me twice i dont know what to do should i rebuilt the old one again or get aused one from the junkyard i'm in nyc need advice thnks

Are you using your GS as a getaway car??? Tranny going out twice sounds like either bad driving habits or bad rebuilders. Go to a reputable shop. What keeps breaking? A rebuilt transmission is only as good as the rebuilder or parts used. If you got the money, sure get a new one. A used one you'll only have to probably end up rebuilding.

You can always use this as a reason to upgrade to a better tranny!

Dude, my 96 has 165,000 + MILES and the tranny is fine.Easy on the GAS.

i floor it from stoplight to stoplight around here, almost 170k miles and no tranny problems....
