Default vais tech or radio? freezing problem

ok, i installed my vais ipod integration about couple months ago. All of a sudden now my radio tends to freeze and i cant turn up the volume or the bottom portion of my head unit doesn't work which is basically the audio portion. everything else works fine liek the climate control. When i first got the vais everything was fine. So is this due to the vais integration or is it a defect in the radio? please help i don't wanna bring the car into the dealership because i dunno if the vais voids the warranty. what should i do?

Hello...

I also have a freezing up. It has worked fine for about 3 weeks, then yesterday and today it locks up all the buttons on the radio except the
steering wheel controls. It also wont start to play after I restart the
car, I have to switch to another mode then come back to MD Changer
for it to start working again.

The only thing I can think of is that I updated the software in the iPod
from the Apple website. I have a Nano with an SLI in a 06 GS430.
