I was driving today and at some point hit the volume button on the steering wheel control and realized it was dead, in fact all the buttons except the mode button that toggles the in dash display are dead. It gets better, the stereo buttons also do not respond, none of them, including the volume. So it is stuck playing the ipod. I removed the ipod from the cable, system stayed on looking for ipod. Turning car off and on did not fix the problem. I wonder if this is a side effect of the SLI unit or maybe the nav bypass, is it biting me in the @ss ?? I think I will find the audio fuse and pull it and if all else fails, d/c the battery and go from there... anyone have this happen??

 

Maybe check the VAIS website forums and see if anyone has had the same symptoms?
